NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 28- Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga on Wednesday left the country for the Democratic Republic of Congo, for a 2-day visit.
Odinga went to DRC in his capacity as the African Union High Representative for Infrastructure Development.
He is expected to meet President Felix Tshisekedi and hold discussions over the ambitious multi-billion-dollar Grand Inga Hydropower project.
“He is the to review the progress,” an aide to Odinga told Shahidi News.
Odinga’s role is to market the project as a continental project and root for it among multi-national corporations.
It is a grand project of 40,000MW to be constructed in six phases.
