NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 28- A power outage across various regions in the country that lasted for one hour left thousands of Kenyans under total darkness on Wednesday evening.
Darkness eclipsed parts of Nairobi, South Nyanza, Western Kenya and Rift Valley causing disruption in Kenyan’s daily life as several business were left reeling in loss due to the widespread power outage.
In a statement however, Kenya Power revealed that this was a result of a technical hitch that affected two major lines supplying power to the affected areas.
“We would like to apologize to our customers for the inconvenience caused and reassure them that our technical team is currently working to identify the root cause and restore power to the affected areas.” Read the statement from kenya Power
Maintenance on the affected areas was underway.
