NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 17- Detectives are pursuing a man who killed a police officer on Tuesday evening in Ngara, Nyayo Market area within Nairobi.
The officer, according to witnesses who spoke to Shahidi News, had entered into a heated argument with the man on the run, when he was assaulted.
The suspected killer operates a store within the busy market.
“He was hit so hard that he fell on the tarmac and died on the spot,” a detective privy to the incident and who cited witnesses testimonials said.
The police officer’s body was moved to Kenyatta University mortuary awaiting autopsy.
An operation to nab the fleeing suspect is underway.
The deceased was attached at Parklands Police station.
