NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 17- Four times winner of the Kenya Open full bore Bisley Championship Edward Legei is dead. Legei succumbed to Covid-19 complications at a Nairobi Hospital where he had been rushed to.
A family spokesman said he died on Monday evening.
He had been admitted to the hospital last week and discharged but while at his residence at Westpark in the city he developed complications prompting his admission back to the hospital where he passed on.
Legei, a superintendent of police was the head of Police Pavilion in Nairobi and served at the elite Presidential escort unit (PEU).
He was a celebrated sharpshooter in the service.
His friends have mourned him as a hard working officer who was dedicated to his work.
Dozens of Police officers are admitted to various health facilities with complications of the pandemic.
The pandemic is surging and has so far killed more than 1,300 people in the country.
