NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 19- At least four people were killed in a gun attack in infamous Kapedo area, Turkana County.
Locals and police said the youth were going to fetch firewood when they were shot dead by suspected criminals from neighbouring communities.
Area assistant chief Mercy Asmit said the killed are form one and form two students while the two boys are non school going.
Tension mounted the area on Thursday as the news of the incident broke out.
Turkana county commander Samuel Ndanyi said they had not established the motive of the incident.
He said they are investigating the attack and that security personnel had been sent to the area.
The area is infamous after 40 police officers were killed in 2009 in a banditry attack.
The officers were pursuing stolen livestock when they were ambushed by gunmen in a massacre.
