NAROK, Kenya, Nov 27- Two lower limbs, an arm and some flesh believed to belong to a doctor who went missing Wednesday have been found inside the stomach of a crocodile in Kilgoris, Narok County.
Dr Samuel Kinanda is believed to have been attacked by the crocodile on Wednesday afternoon, prompting a search by officers from the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) and the National Police Service (NPS).
The crocodile was identified and shot dead before being removed from the water.
The stomach was dissected when the gruesome discovery of partly decomposing body parts were found.
“Inside the stomach were some body parts we believe belong to Dr. Kinanda,” the local police commander said.
Police also said that one of the arms had a Maasai beaded bracelet on its wrist.
Police took the body parts to Kilgoris Sub-County hospital mortuary awaiting post-mortem.
Human-animal conflict has led to the death of several people and destruction of property including crops in the last few months in the country according to statistics from the Kenya Wildlife Service.
Narok County, is among several others battling increasing cases of human-wildlife conflicts.
