NAIROBI, Kenya, Dec 4- Kabuchai Member of Parliament James Lusweti is dead.
The legislator passed on while undergoing treatment at a city hospital.
Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula in a Tweet said the MP “will be remembered as a hardworking and loyal member of Ford Kenya party who served his people with utmost honesty, commitment and accountability.”
President Uhuru Kenyatta described the departed legislator as a reserved but adept grassroots politician whose community projects had helped uplift many families in Kabuchai and the greater Bungoma County from abject poverty.
“It is unfortunate we have lost a very affective leader, an accomplished grassroots mobiliser whose development conscious politics shall be dearly missed by the people of Kabuchai and the entire nation,” the President said.
Just three weeks ago, Matungu Member of Parliament Justus Murunga died after developing breathing complications.
