    NAIROBI, Kenya, May 12- Do you have plans, and are wondering how the weather will be like in the next 24 hours?

    The Kenya Meteorological Department says many parts of the country are expected to receive heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, while others will experience partly cloudy conditions.

    “Rainfall expected over several parts of the country,” the department said in a statement. “Strong Southerly winds of over 25 knots expected over the Eastern and Coastal regions.”

    In a statement, the department said the Coastal region will have sunny intervals on Thursday.

    The Counties are Kwale, Mombasa, Kilifi, Lamu, and Tana River.

    In Central, Nairobi, and parts of Eastern regions, the department said residents will experience showers and thunderstorms on Wednesday night.

    Meanwhile, on Thursday, cloudy conditions with light rains will be experienced over few places in the morning and sunny intervals later in the morning.

    Showers and thunderstorms will be expected over several places in the afternoon.

    Heavy flooding has been experienced in several parts of Nairobi and Kisumu Counties.

    Police have urged motorists to be extra careful, and more so while driving in areas where road construction is ongoing.
