NAIROBI, Kenya, May 19- Inspector General of police Hillary Mutyambai was Tuesday evening discharged from hospital where he had spent almost a week undergoing treatment.
Mutyambai was admitted to the Aga Khan hospital on May 13 in the evening after he developed complications while at his Nairobi home.
He told his juniors who had visited him that he had pressure related issues which he was managing under strict supervision from his doctors.
On Wednesday, a day after his discharge, he was spotted in his office, Jogoo House, Ngong police academy and later at the Karen police station.
This, authorities said was to “show he was back and fit.”
Prior to his admission to hospital, he had for a while been out of office.
His handlers said he was now fit and back to work.
