KIAMBU, Kenya, Jun 22- A man was shot to death on Tuesday afternoon in Kwa Kairu area in Juja Constituency by two armed assailants who were riding a motorbike.

He was accosted near the underpass in Kwa Kairu area, along the Nairobi-Thika Superhighway.

The attackers then proceeded to spray his car, which he was driving, with bullets.

“The motive was to kill him. Several gunshots were found on the driver’s door,” a detective privy to the incident told Shahidi News.

Who were the attackers? And why did they want the man dead?

“The driver who was bleeding profusely was rushed to Thika level 5 hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival,” police said.

Police found an Identity Card believed to have been of the deceased.

His body was taken to General Kago mortuary awaiting autopsy and identification.

The assailants left immodestly after firing at the man several times without stealing anything.

“His body had about 10 bullets,” another police officer who did not want to be named said.

Juja police boss Dorothy Migarusha said investigations are underway to establish and arrest the attackers.
