GARISSA, Kenya, Jul 27- Police in Garissa are investigating an incident in which the body of a man was found from the nearby Tana River.
The body had a tattoo bearing the name of a woman and his arms were tied with a piece of cloth.
Police say the body also had stones inserted in his trousers on the waist with an aim of making it sink in the river.
The body was taken to a local mortuary with plans to identify it.
Homicide cases have been on the rise in the country, in a worrying trend.
