NAIROBI, Kenya, Aug 9- A court in Nairobi has warned Blogger Robert Alai against commenting on social media directly or indirectly, on his assault case with musician Alex Apoko alias Ringtone.
The directive was issued on Monday when he denied causing grievous injuries to the musician.
He was released on a Sh300,000 cash bail and an alternative bond of Sh1 million, with a surety of a similar amount.
The musician’s lawyer Evans Ondieki had complained that a famous blogger had commented on the case Monday morning.
He appeared before Senior Principal Magistrate Phillip Mutua of Kibera Law court.
The blogger is expected to return to the court on August 23 for pretrial.
His vehicle is still being held at the Kilimani police station. His efforts to have it released were futile.
The musician’s car, a Range Rover is also in police custody at the Kilimani police station.
