NAIROBI,Kenya,Aug 25 – Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka Wednesday presented himself to the Directorate of Criminal investigations headquarters at Mazingira complex along Kiambu Road after claiming to have been summoned.

The former vice-president arrived at the DCI headquarters accompanied by his lawyers among them, Siaya Senator James Orengo and Makueni senator Mutula kilonzo Jr.

Kalonzo did not however immediately reveal the reasons for his summons.

Surprisingly however DCI boss George Kinoti told Shahidi News that no one at the DCI headquarters had summoned Kalonzo.

“We have not summoned him but if he has any information that can help in any investigations he is free to share with us. We are open to the public for search matters/inquiries,” he said.

Though it is not clear what Kalonzo went to report or inquire from the DCI, he has in the past presented himself before sleuths after Deputy President William Ruto accused him of ‘grabbing’ land belonging to the National Youth Service (NYS).

Kalonzo has time and again however denied such allegations involving the illegal acquisition the 200 acre land in turn branding Ruto as, ‘the chief land grabber’.

“I am today presenting myself for thorough investigation by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations as well as the Anti-Corruption Commission. I want the matter settled once and for all,” said Kalonzo in January 2021 further saying, “In the same vein, I challenge DP Ruto, alias “Arap Mashamba” well known for his unbridled greed for both public and private land, to offer himself for investigations concerning various claims of corruption.”

Wednesday afternoon, Kalonzo during a press conference confirmed that he presented himself to the DCI headquarters following allegations that he illegally acquired his Yatta farm.

“All relevant documentation required to investigate this matter thoroughly was availed to the DCI. That is the correct approach that should be taken when false utterances are made against leaders. Scrutiny and investigations by the relevant agencies are hence crucial and of paramount importance. This is the only way to defeat the lies repeated by certain politicians who seek to create an artificial reality for Kenyans.” said Kalonzo.
