ISIOLO, Kenya, Oct 8- Detectives in Isiolo are holding four suspects, who were found with bhang with a street value of Sh1.5 million.

The four were arrested along Isiolo-Moyale highway with bhang weighing more than 30 kilograms.

Police said the illegal drug had been concealed in their car.

“They were arrested by officers from a multi-agency team, that is involved in manning the roadblock at Archer’s post,” a detective told Shahidi News.

“We used our sniffer dog to spot the drugs that had been carefully stashed in various parts of their car, a Toyota Mazda.”

Speaking to Shahidi News, Isiolo County Commissioner Geoffrey Omoding said the bhang was destined for Nairobi.

Already, he revealed, police are looking for the owners of the drugs, after preliminary investigations revealed the four suspects were being used to transport it.

The County Commissioner said, “we will also go for the big men using our young man to do their illegal businesses.”

He said companies hiring their vehicles to be used to commit a crime will not be spared either.

“In this case, they will be held liable for aiding in drug trafficking,” he said.

Isiolo-Moyale highway is a notorious route for drug traffickers.
