    14 year old boy kills 7 year old neigbour after accusing him of eating his meal, says police

    KAKAMEGA,Kenya, Oct, 15 – Police in Navakholo are detaining a 14 year-old boy from Magina Primary School after he allegedly killed a seven year old boy Thursday evening.

    According to preliminary reports, the suspect is said to have committed the tragic act shortly after returning home from school and later told that the deceased had eaten his evening meal.

    Navakholo sub county police commander Richard Omanga confirmed the incident saying the suspect, killed the 7 year old boy and later dumped his body in a nearby river.

    “The suspect went back to school the next day and confessed to his head teacher what he had done,” Said Omanga.

    The school headteacher after being told the horrifc incident reported the matter and later accompanied police to the scene of crime, where the deceased’s body was recovered.

    The suspect’s father expressed shock following the incident saying that his son has always been a well mannered child and never got into trouble.

    The body of the deceased is being preserved at the Kakamega Referral Hospital Mortuary.

    Investigations into the matter is ongoing.

    Meanwhile in Munyuki village in Lugari constituency, an 11 year old girl was found dead and her body dumped in a ditch within the area.

    Area chief Celestine Asige confirmed the incident saying that it is not yet clear how the minor was killed and who committed the tragic incident.

    Police have said that a note was found at the crime scene alluding to further atrocities in the coming weeks.

    Fear has since spread through the area as investigations have been launched into the tragic incident.
