    Eastleigh Exhibition Week: Youth Champion for innovation amidst COVID-19 Pandemic

    NAIROBI,Kenya, Oct, 16 – Nairobi’s economic Business hub Eastleigh is set to host the highly anticipated annual Eastleigh Exhibition Week (2021) which has become a staple of excellence for the vibrant community.

    This year’s event which is organised and hosted by the Eastleigh Youth Forum (EYF) seeks to bring together members of the community, particularly its entrepreneurs as they seek to share skills and experiences of conducting business during the global COVID-19 pandemic.

    When the COVID -19 pandemic first broke out in the country, Eastleigh, bore the brunt of government regulations that saw a cession of movement imposed in the neighbourhood for more than 30 days.

    Through the challenges however, the business community has been able to thrive, manoeuvring through various obstacles – A huge percentage of entrepreneurs in Eastleigh are youth who earn a decent living in order to support their families.

    The exhibition’s theme this year is,”Marching Through The Pandemic” as Youth, entrepreneurs, Local companies, women groups, civil society organizations seek to hold a robust discussion on the future of business in the wake of the pandemic.

    Among those set to grace the event are representatives from various government agencies as well as foreign embassies .

    The organiser of this year’s event Iman Burhan says that the event is more important now more than ever.

    “The Eastleigh youth forum continues to focus on creating a platform for all community stakeholders to freely interact and share business experiences for the betterment of the community. The organizations strive to build a cohesive society through well-coordinated engagement has enabled helped to bridge social- economic gap,” Said Iman.

    During the exhibition various companies and organisation will have designated booths to show case their product as well as share business experiences with budding entrepreneurs.

    The event will be hosted at the California Resource Centre between November 26 to 28.
