NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 19 Several people were left homeless in two separate fire incidents reported in Nairobi on Monday night.
The first incident happened in Kibera slums where up to 40 structures were flattened.
The second incident was reported in Mukuru slums where a similar number of structures were affected.
This rendered many homeless. Those affected have asked for help to reconstruct the structures.
The incidents are common in the informal settlements and officials blame it on illegal power connections.
There has been a campaign to address the menace.
