NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 3- A terror suspect whose Nyali Member of Parliament Mohammed Ali stood surety for but later jumped bail has been arrested.

This comes a day after a court in Kwale issued a warrant of arrest against the legislator, who had sought more time to look for the suspect.

According to police, the terror suspect was arrested on Tuesday night at about 10 pm within the Majengo area in Mvita, within Mombasa County.

He had failed to appear before the court two times; in October and November 2021.

The suspect was charged with the offence of being in passion of radicalisation materials.

He was arrested by the Anti-Terror Police Unit ATPU) officers in January 21, 2020.

The suspect is expected to be arraigned in court to allow his case to continue at Kwale Law Court.

Noordin is facing 12 terror-related charges including the offence of being in possession of radicalization articles and conducting recruitment of local youths to join the Islamic State terror group.

Upon arrest, he was charged and released on bond.

The case will be mentioned on November 18.

Officials say Abdallah is an associate of Salim Rashid Mohamed alias Chotara alias Turki an IS operative who was recently filmed conducting a beheading in DR Congo.

He had in March 2020 been arrested in Mombasa after being captured on CCTV mugging two people, one of them a school girl.

He was arrested and released on bail.
