NAIROBI, Kenya, Dec 2- A man was Wednesday night burnt to death in a fire incident in Mukuru slums, in Lungalunga area, Nairobi.
The victim was sleeping when the fire broke out and burnt down several structures in the sprawling slum. This rendered many homeless.
Police say six other people sustained slight injuries as they joined in the fight to contain the spread of the fire.
The cause of the fire is yet to be known but experts are investigating it.
The body was moved to the mortuary.
Police blame most of such incidents in informal settlements on illegal power connections amid campaigns to correct the mess.
