NAIROBI, Kenya, Dec 6- Three police officers are expected in court on Monday morning over the shooting to death of a bodaboda rider in the Ruai area, Nairobi.
The officers attached to Ruai police station were arrested after the body of Dennis Wanyoike, 29 was discovered with bullet wounds Friday morning
They said they were on duty on Friday dawn when they were informed a motorcycle had been stolen in the area and started to track it.
In the process, two motorcycles emerged speeding off prompting the officers to shoot at the riders.
One of the officers fired two rounds and the second one three rounds, while the third one did not fire.
The fatal shooting prompted a protest along Kangundo Road by some locals who demanded action on the officers behind the incident.
A team of senior officers who visited the scene ordered the disarming of the three colleagues and their detention as investigations go on.
