NAIROBI, Kenya, Dec 8- All is set for the graduation of more than 2,000 General Service Unit personnel at their National Police Service Embakasi B’ Campus.
No relatives and friends of those graduating today in the afternoon will be allowed to attend the event.
Police headquarters directed that there will be no invitation of civilians, family, or friends.
These are part of measures put in place following heightened threats of terror attacks and the persisting COVID-19 pandemic.
This will be the latest security graduation event to be attended by President Uhuru Kenyatta in a series that has seen more than 15,000 personnel join various services.
He has attended events at the Kenya Defence Forces, Kenya Prisons Services, Administration Police Service, and National Youth Service.
Police have warned there might be disruption of traffic flow on Mombasa Road in the afternoon today and want motorists to get alternative routes.
