    5 Year-Old Girl Dies After Falling From Apartment In Kisumu

    KISUMU,Kenya, Dec,17 – A family in Kisumu town is mourning the sudden death of their five old daughter after she fell from a building.

    The girl, only identified as Tamara, is reported to have fallen to her death from the fourth floor of an apartment building.

    Obida Tobias, a security guard at the facility reported to police that he heard a loud bhang behind the apartment at about 8:46 pm on Monday night.

    The guard under Samick Security Group was on duty at Jubilee Jumbo Apartment within Milimani suburb of Kisumu city when the incident occurred.

    He told the police at Kisumu Central Police Station that he found a little child known to him had fallen.

    The family lived in house number 406 at the apartment and the parents were not at home as the little angel fell to her death.

    According to the security guard, the girl was at home with the nanny identified as Phoebe Afeyoleth.

    Police were informed that the nanny took about fifteen minutes to arrive at the scene after the guard called the house.

    It remained unclear where the parents were as the girl fell to death at about 8:46pm last evening.

    The case is being investigated by officers drawn from Kisumu Central after the body was moved to Avenue Hospital Mortuary awaiting a postmortem.
