    6 Chinese Nationals Arrested For Engaging In Trade Without Permits

    NAIROBI,Kenya, Jan, 14 – Kenya police alongside immigration officers have arrested six Chinese nationals after they were found engaging in various form of trade without legitimate work permits.

    The six have been identified as:Cong Tingting, Li Chang, Tili Zhuang, B Hong, Cun Long and Xie Liguang.

    They are expected to be arraigned and charged with engaging in trade without being authorised by a work permit contrary  to section 53 as read with section 53 (2) of the Kenya citizenship and immigration act No. 12 of 2011.

    They were arrested following a tip-off from members of the public and intelligence from police officers.

    They were arrested in Imara Daima area of Nairobi.

    ARREST OF FOREIGNERS WITHOUT WORK PERMITS
    Acting on intelligence, officers from the @NPSOfficial_KE and @ImmigrationDept arrested six foreigners at Imara Daima area in Nairobi, who were employed without work permits. Investigations are ongoing and they will be arraigned in pic.twitter.com/xef1cw4OTB

    The six will be arraigned on January,17,2022.
