KIAMBU,Kenya, Jan, 17 – Police have launched a manhunt for a motorist said to have killed a form three student in a hit and run incident along the Thogoto-Mutarakwa road Monday morning.
According to preliminary reports, the student was walking on the designated pedestrian lane when the vehicle veered off the road killing him on the spot.
The student was hit from behind according to witnesses who saw the tragic incident.
Limuru Sub County Traffic Base commander George Onsongo confirmed the incident and revealed that a manhunt is ongoing to track down the driver who shorty after the incident fled the scene.
Onsongo cautioned motorists to observe road safety rules saying that the area where the accident occurred has a very narrow road which is prone to accidents.
