Thank you 🙏 @WuPeng_MFAChina for your kind invitation to bid farewell to @Serem_JC Ambassador of Kenya 🇰🇪 to China 🇨🇳. Kenya 🇰🇪 remains a country we both admire having served there during the same period. It is a country with incredible promise & potential. Travel well Sarah. pic.twitter.com/8qsDfJPQDl

The current Governor of Uasin Gishu Jackson Mandago is serving his second and final term.

He will be seeking to be elected as the next Senator of the County.

Public servants seeking to participate in the August 9, elections are required to resign by February 9, 2022.

Section 43(3) of the Elections Act 2011 provides that “A public officer who intends to contest an election under this Act shall resign from the public office at least six months before the date of election.”

The aim of this requirement is to ensure the officials do not use their positions to influence their elections into the office and avoid all conflicts of interest.
