NAIROBI,Kenya, Jan, 27 – A bodaboda operator plying the Kawangware-Kangemi route was Wednesday evening stabbed to death by two thugs masquerading as passengers.
According to preliminary reports, the deceased had just picked up the two, heading towards Kawangware when they turned on him demanding his motorcycle.
The incident occurred around Kawangware 56 stage.
“They revealed their true intentions and began stabbing him around Muslim area…the said they wanted his motorcycle,” said police.
Despite attempts to save his life, the bodaboda rider is said to have succumbed to his injuries.
Other motorists shortly after seeing the incident also attempted to help him but their efforts proved futile.
One of the thugs who attempt to flee the scene was beaten up any angry residents before he was arrested by police.
A manhunt has been launched for his accomplice.
