NAIROBI,Kenya, Feb, 21 – Businessman and politician Stanley Livondo was grilled for nearly an hour at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters along Kiambu road following damning allegations of a plot to assassinate president Uhuru Kenyatta by unknown people in the past.
Livondo who was escorted by lawyer Victor Kariuki was grilled by detectives domiciled at the Serious Crimes Unit.
He is said to have told detectives that there were at least two attempts to assassinate the president at the same time providing names of those allegedly involved in the shocking plot.
“I have revealed all those involved in the matter. You will get even churches are involved. It is a big thing. Once the investigations are complete you will know it is indeed a big matter,” said Livondo.
Days since making the shocking remarks Livondo now wants other witnesses to be protected by the security agency saying that some have already expressed their willingness to testify in court regarding the matter.
“…Where they hide, how they move, how they convey the messages to him and how they implement their missions…I have given them everything. It will be neutralized, you will hear people being arreste one by one… ” he further said.
He is set to record yet another statement on Thursday.
Livondo had made the remarks on Saturday during the thanksgiving prayers for Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria while in Thika.
He alleged that the plot involved using airplanes used by the head of state.
“You have a friend, who attempted to crash your plane twice, will you forgive him? The first attempt was when President Uhuru Kenyatta was leaving Kisumu and the second attempt was when he was going to the US through Dubai and he had to make a detour,” Livondo said.
MP Kuria had requested the DCI to launch investigations regarding the ‘reckless’ statements.
“As the convener of the thanksgiving prayer meeting in Thika, I may not be responsible for what speakers said, but it was my meeting, and I have to take responsibility,” he said.further sitting that,“I have today requested DCI boss George Kinoti to arrest Stanley Livondo following his reckless statement.”
