KISII,Kenya, Feb, 28 – United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party national treasurer Omingo Magara has vacated his position while quitting the party entirely.
Magara said that he had decided to quit the party after consulting the electorate in his political backyard while also accusing the party of lacking transparency and democracy.
He had hinted at contesting the Kisii gubernatorial position.
“After considering reflections and consultations with my people in Kisii county, national leaders and my family,my political future and ambitions cannot be sufficiently addressed by UDA party I therefore immediately resign as a Party member and as a treasurer,”Said Magara.
Magara said that he will conduct further consultations with the people of Kisii on the way forward.
“Let’s us all be vigilant for politics comes and goes but we as a people, as a nation must remain United to allow us usher in the golden age of our republic,”Said Magara.
On Sunday social media was abuzz with news that he had quit the UDA party,before quickly refuting the claims.
