NAIROBI,Kenya, Mar, 7 – A Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) Soldier is under police custody after he was arrested Sunday evening for allegedly stabbing his girlfriend, also a KDF soldier to death following an altercation at his house in Mihango, Utawala in Nairobi county.
According to preliminary reports, the suspect,John Gitau, who is stationed at the Embakasi Garrison was in the company of another female when the deceased, Phoebe Kaele caught them together.
Kaele is stationed at the Modika barracks in Garissa county.
The situation is said to have quickly escalated turning violent when Gitau is then allegedly said to have stabbed Kaele on the neck.
Residents are quickly said to have notified police officers who arrived at the scene and arrested the two.
The body of the deceased is being preserved at the local mortuary as investigations continue.
