NAIROBI,Kenya, Mar, 8 – Zimbabwe president Emmerson Mnangagwa has arrived in the country ahead of a three-day State visit where he is expected to hold bilateral talks with president Uhuru Kenyatta.
Mnangagwa alongside his wife,First Lady Auxillia Mnangagwa were received at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) by Foreign Affairs cabinet secretary Ambassador Raychelle Omamo, Defence CS Eugene Wamalwa and Kenyan High Commissioner to Zimbabwe Ambassador Stella Munyi.
Zimbabwean foreign minister Ambassador Fredrick Shava is among other delegates accompanying the president.
Shava was however in the country for the third session of joint permanent Commission for Cooperation (JPCC) which concluded today.
“During the ministerial meeting, Agreed Minutes were signed which hold great promise for cooperation in various sectors, opportunity to strenghten bilateral ties and leverage the potential for bilateral trade, investment, tourism among other areas,” said a stamens from the foreign affairs.
Mnangagwa will be received at State House Nairobi Wednesday by president Uhuru Kenyatta where he will be accorded an elaborate guard of honor and a 21-gun salute.
The two heads of state will also hold discussions on trade, tourism and even security.
