KIAMBU,Kenya, Mar, 9 – Wednesday morning and police domiciled at the Ruiru police station received a call from concerned citizens that a bullet-riddled Probox vehicle was abandoned along the Kiambu-Ruiru road.

Preliminary reports from investigating officers show that upon arrival and a routine canvassing of the crime scene, two deceased men were found locked inside the vehicle.

The vehicle is further said to have been sprayed with at least 8 bullets, with initially efforts to identify the owner of the vehicle proving difficult since its did not posses number plates.

“Inside the vehicle were two bodies with no identification documents, they had bullet wounds. We recovered number plates of a Probox KCX 385D that was kept in the boot,” said Ruiru Sub County Police Commander Cecilia Kemboi.

The car keys were also missing at the scene of crime.

Detectives suspect that the two were killed elsewhere and dumped in the area.

DCI officer based at the station, Justus Ombati however said that a forensic audit is being conducted on the vehicle in a bid to identify the perpetuators.

“We want to carry out forensic analysis because they did not have identification documents. We have assorted documents from a cosmetic company and we want to get in touch with them because a number of delivery notes were from the cosmetic company,” said Ombati.

The bodies of the deceased are being preserved at the City mortuary.
