NAIROBI, Kenya, Mar 26- Eyebrows have been raised after Deputy President William Ruto met two Azimio la Umoja Governors at his official residence in Karen.
The Deputy President met Embu Governor Martin Wambora, who is also the Council of Governors chairperson alongside his Samburu counterpart Moses Lenolkulal on Saturday.
Wambora is serving his second and final term as a Governor.
The Deputy President who had a United Democratic Alliance branded shirt did not reveal the details of what he termed as “consultations.”
Interestingly, Lenolkulal had a UDA cap while Wambora was on a suit- with no political branding.
Wambora has been a critical player in the Azimio la Umoja alliance and has been leading campaigns for its presidential candidate and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga in Embu and others parts of Mt Kenya region.
DP Ruto’s digital strategist and self-proclaimed hustlers’ nation spokesperson Denniss Itumbi said the two Governors had joined the Kenya Kwanza coalition.
