NAIROBI, Kenya, Mar 26- Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula has poured cold water on ‘calls’ for him to leave the Deputy President William Ruto Kenya Kwanza coalition, saying it was “unstoppable.”
For two days, there were talks of Wetangula joining the Azimio la Umoja alliance, but he now says he is in Kenya Kwanza to stay.
In a Tweet, Wetangula dismissed those calling him to leave DP Ruto’s team as, “desperados.”
Wetangula and Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi joined DP Ruto in a surprise move, termed as ‘earthquake.’
It was expected the two would stick with Odinga, whose presidential bid is being supported by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Their move has changed the Western Kenya region from an Odinga stronghold to a battleground.
Odinga was on Saturday in Kakamega County, rooting for his bid.
