    Police Launch Manhunt For Man That Killed Girlfriend In Machakos

    MACHAKOS,Kenya, Mar, 27 – A foul smell emanating from the suspect’s house is said to have alerted neighbors who feared for the worst and immediately notified area police.

    Yellow tapes from the area Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) securing the scene pointed to the worst and moments later, a deceased female was found inside a house with preliminary reports indicating that she had sustained several knife inflicted injuries on her face, chest and throat.

    The suspected murder which police have since attributed to an altercation between two lovers occurred in Machakos county.

    The deceased is a 21 year old university student while the alleged killer, her boyfriend is said to be 22 years old.

    Investigating officers told Shahidi News that the victim has since gone into hiding as they recovered a note allegedly written by the suspect detailing why he allegedly committed the killing.

    Also recovered was the knife that was used during the incident,

    “We as mothers in this community are in pain that such an incident could have occurred in this area. We are completely lot for words,”said Florence Mwikali,area resident.

    Police have since launched a manhunt for the suspect who has gone into hiding.

    The body of the deceased is being preserved at the Machakos Level 5 Hospital mortuary.
