NAIROBI, Kenya, Mar 29- Nairobi County Assembly Majority Leader Abdi Guyo has lost four family members in a grisly road accident at Maili Saba, along the Meru-Isiolo highway.
The dead, include 10 and 14-year-old children according to an incident report seen by Shahidi News.
According to police, the accident occurred after the car they traveling in developed a right tyre defect.
It is at this point that the driver of the car lost control and subsequently ramming on the roadside fence.
“The four died on spot,” a police officer privy to the Monday evening incident told Shahidi News. The four bodies are being preserved at the Isiolo Referral hospital.
They were headed to Isiolo from Nairobi.
The Matopeni MCA is set to vie for Isiolo County gubernatorial seat on a Jubilee party ticket.
He was initially to seek a parliamentary seat in Nairobi.
He was endorsed for the governor’s seat by incumbent Governor Mohamed Kuti who dropped his bid due to health-related issues.
Guyo was on his way to Nairobi from Isiolo and had met the brother on the way when the tragedy struck.
