NAIROBI, Kenya, Apr 14- The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party primaries kicked off on Thursday across 36 Counties, amidst logistical challenges.
The exercise is being conducted in 15,000 polling stations.
The party’s Chairman National Election Board Anthony Mwaura said that eight million United Democratic Alliance (UDA) registered members are set to participate in the party’s nomination exercise that has been dubbed a “mini-election”.
Deputy President William Ruto, who is the UDA party leader, has assured that the exercise shall be free and fair.
The DP has already brokered deals with several UDA aspirants, in a bid to ease tension.
For example in Mombasa, UDA aspirants reached a consensus on the available elective positions.
