Kenyan Athlete Found Dead In Iten

ITEN, Kenya, Apr 20- A Kenyan athlete was on Tuesday found dead in a house in Iten town, police said.

Police and sports officials identified the upcoming athlete Damaris Muthee Mutua.

She was aged 24 years.

Preliminary investigations indicate that she was killed by an Ethiopian athlete.

Police said the Ethiopian had already fled from the country after the incident.

Keiyo North police boss Tom Makori is leading a team of officers who are at the scene.

This comes a few months after athlete Agnes Tirop was killed in the same town last October.
