NAIROBI, Kenya, May 26-All roads lead to Safaripark in Nairobi where President Uhuru Kenyatta, his deputy William Ruto and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga are expected to share the dais at the 19th national prayer breakfast.

The theme of this year’s prayer breakfast is ‘transition’ which comes just 71 days before the country goes for a General Election that will see Kenyans elect their fifth president.

In a bid to minimize politics at the event, Parliament which normally takes charge of everything at the event has abdicated the duty to the clergy who will also be in charge of delivering the keynote address.

Political leaders have always used the event to throw political jibes at each other in a joking manner to the laughter of attendants.

President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto sat at separate tables, away from the norm, where they always share a table at similar events.

Uhuru and Ruto sat pensively each sharing their own table with two other companions.

President Kenyatta shared his table with Chief Justice Martha Koome and Attorney General Kihara Kariuki.

Ruto shared his with National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi and his Senate counterpart Ken Lusaka, both his allies in the Kenya Kwanza Alliance.
