NAIROBI, Kenya, Jun, 9 – Humprey Minyata Muhambe And Timothy Jahani Muzami aged 24 and 28 years respectively have been slapped with life in prison sentences after they were found guilty of robbing pedestrians while armed with guns and knives.

According to court documents the accused committed the offenses in Rosewood Avenue in Kilimani, Nairobi county by targeting innocent civilians.

Senior principal magistrate Zainab Abdul while issuing the ruling said that the two were not remorseful of the offense during mitigation.

” I have considered that such crimes are rampant nowadays and the weapon used by the accused persons to rob the complainant was never recovered, it’s still out there committing a similar offense” ruled the magistrate

The guns used by the accused were however never recovered by police.

Zainab said that the two will serve as a warning to other youth from engaging in a life of crime.

Court documents revealed that the two robbed Paul Sewe Omanyi of his computers, phones, and their accessories all valued at Sh396,733 in June 25, 2021.

CCTV footage captured the entire 6 am incident on the fateful day.
