NAIROBI, Kenya, Jun, 13 – Following heated discussions over the authenticity of Nairobi Gubernatorial candidate Johnson Sakaja’s degree certificate, the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) candidate is now calling on the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) tribunal to dismiss the complaint filed against him.

Sakaja has refuted claims that he does not have a degree, reiterating that the one he presented to the poll body in order to be cleared was legitimate.

In a response to a complaint filed against him, Sakaja said that he holds a Bachelor of Science in Management degree conferred to him by Team University in Uganda.

“My qualifications and academic credentials are not in doubt having affirmed through a lawful process,” read a section of the court documents.

The politician said that the Team University is in Uganda and is duly recognized.

Sakaja also dismissed names associated with him in the complaint. The senator said that Johnson Koskei Sakaja is not his name as appears in the complaint.

“The complaints herein are legally incompetent, fatally defective having been lodged outside the prescribed statutory timeleines,” he says

He further reiterated that his credentials are available in the graduation documents.
