NAIROBI, Kenya, Jun, 15 – Two police officers are nursing serious injuries after they were ambushed and attacked by unknown assailants near Afya Centre area in Nairobi.
The police officers sustained injuries on their hands and back.
According to preliminary reports, the officers said they were on patrol when the assailant who was on foot attacked them from the back. Witnesses said the assailant first attacked one of the officers and when the second one came to his rescue he was also attacked.
Attempts to restrain and apprehend the assailant proved futile as he escaped on foot.
Police have since launched a manhunt for the suspect as the two officers were admitted in the hospital.
