How Did The Robbery With Violence Incident Occur?
According to preliminary reports, CCTV footage showed a female driver, believed to be the owner of the ransacked home driving towards her gate aboard a black Mercedes Benz vehicle and waiting for a few seconds as another woman opened the gate for her.
Amid efforts to close the gate, three armed men wielding AK 47 assault rifles and a machete could be seen hot on her trail as the woman, who opened the gate could also be seen running for her life
The incident occurred on Sunday, June 12, 2022, at around 2.20 am.
Once inside the compound, one of the gunmen is seen running towards the house, chasing after the woman that opened the gate. Another is temporarily seen standing by the gate, acting as a ‘look-out’ while the third gunman is then seen threatening the female driver with a pistol as he attempted to open the driver’s seat.
His colleague on the other side is then seen smashing the window using a machete before handing over the machete to the other gunman dressed in all black. He is then seen on CCTV footage breaking the car’s window as the driver attempts to speed off. Her attempts proved futile.
Shortly after breaking into the car, they threaten the female driver with guns before robbing her of her purse and other valuables. The woman is then forced to surrender as she opens her car door and shortly after taken inside the house.
Inside the house, the armed criminals can be seen ransacking the house, looking for valuables as the woman continues to plead for her life.
