MARSABIT, Kenya, Jun 17-The Multi-Agency security team that is conducting ‘Operation Rejesha Amani Marsabit’ has continued to record success due to the relentless efforts deployed by the team and especially in the ongoing sensitization forums, police headquarter has said.
In another major success, the Marsabit County Multi-Agency security team recovered five rifles on 16th June 2022.
The five assorted high caliber Rifles were surrendered to the Officer Commanding Station (OCS) Dukana Police Station by the Chief of Balessaru Location, accompanied by the Assistant Chief of Bulluk Sub-Location, Assistant Chief Sabarei Sub-Location, and Elders.
The firearms include three Carbine Rifles loaded with two rounds of ammunition, an AK-47 Rifle, and a G-3 Rifle without ammunition. They have been kept in safe custody awaiting further police action.
The National Police Service lauded the administrators, “and continues to encourage them to persuade their communities to surrender all the illegal weapons to the security agencies for the sake of lasting peace in the entire Marsabit County.”
