NAIROBI, Kenya, Jun, 20 – A fire broke out at Uhuru Secondary School in Nairobi county burning down two dormitories.
According to preliminary reports, the fire burnt down two dormitories said to have been housing 119 form four students.
Firefighters were called to the scene as the fire raged on though concerns were raised after efforts to contain the inferno extended beyond the anticipated time authorities thought it would have been put out.
No injury was reported during the 8 pm.
School authorities said that affected students were moved to different dormitories for accommodation.
A crime scene investigation unit is expected at the school in a bid to determine the cause of the fire.
