NAIROBI, Kenya, Jun, 22 – The body of Joseph Njau Ng’endo was positively identified at the Nairobi City Mortuary by his family days after it was recovered from the Kijabe Forest, in Kiambu county.

According to preliminary reports, the body was being preserved at the mortuary and its identity had not yet been established.

Police and family members said that his identity was positively confirmed through fingerprints.

A postmortem examination conducted on three other slain victims, Moses Amenya Nyachae and Franklin Obegi, and Elijah Omeka revealed that they died as a result of strangulation.

Their families had reported them missing on Tuesday last week in Kasarani, Nairobi county before their bodies were recovered and found dumped in Ngubi Forest in Lari, Kiambu, and Kiserian in Kajiado County.

Njau’s body police said was brought to the morgue on June,19,2022.

The aspiring Njiru member of the county assembly was reported missing on June,17,2022. He was vying for the seat on a Jubilee party ticket.

Amidst investigations, police say that the aspiring politicians had a dark past after being implicated for drug trafficking.

He was arrested back in 2019 after being found in possession of fie kilograms of heroin shortly after returning to the country from Kampala Uganda.

The other three deceased young men meanwhile saw Police question their expensive lifestyle. The young men lived, with no identifiable source of income. For instance, Moses Amenya was a fourth-year student at the Kenyatta University, pursuing a degree in physics and mathematics.

Police are burning the midnight oil to unravel these mysterious murders and if the online fraud syndicate, involving cryptocurrency and online writing can be linked to their disappearance and subsequent killing.
