NAIROBI, Kenya, Jun, 22 – The bodies of Moses Amenya Nyachae and Franklin Obegi Nyachage were first discovered at Kijabe forest on Sunday, June,19,2022

Police were called to the crime scene and a quick examination of the two bodies showed, that the men were tortured before they were killed. Another body of an unknown male adult had been discovered there a day before.

The bodies were moved to the city mortuary and Wednesday families were set for their postmortem examination, after they were positively identified.

Police report Moses Amenya Nyachae was reported missing at Kasarani police station when unknown men tracked him down within seasons in Kasarani. A missing person report for Franklin Obegi was made at Ruiru police station.

An autopsy on the two bodies showed their cause of death was physical strangulation by bare hands, with fingerprints extracted from the bodies expected to help detectives unravel their killers.

Another postmortem examination was conducted yesterday on the body of Fred Obare Mokaya, which was brought to the city mortuary from Magadi in Kajiado. Fred was also killed through strangulation.

Another body of an unknown male adult is still being held at the city mortuary. Police say they need fingerprint investigation to tell the exact family of the deceased since two families are claiming the body, which was brought here from Kijabe on the 18th badly mutilated.

Police have also questioned the expensive lifestyle the young men lived, with no identifiable source of income. For instance, Moses Amenya was a fourth-year student at Kenyatta University, pursuing a degree in physics and mathematics.

Police are burning the midnight oil to unravel these mysterious murders and if the online fraud syndicate, involving cryptocurrency and online writing can be linked to their disappearance and subsequent killing.
