NAIROBI, Kenya, Jul 6- A man accused of defrauding 6 people seeking to desperately leave the unemployment bracket and join the National Police Service was on Wednesday arraigned.
The man is accused of receiving Sh2.4 million from the victims, under the false pretense of being in the capacity of helping them join the police service.
Nelson Mukara Sechere was arraigned at Milimani Law Courts.
He is facing two counts of forgery and issuing a false document contrary to the law.
“You are charged that at an unknown date and at an unknown place within the Republic of Kenya, with intent to defraud forged a National Police Service Female Docket Number (National Police Service Recruitment letter) purporting to be a National Police Service Female Docket Number for Naibel Sharon Chemtai, ” reads part of the charge sheet.
He pleaded not guilty to all counts and was released on Sh50,000 cash bail.
