NAIROBI, Kenya, Jul, 13 – The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has concluded the interviews of seven justices to the Court of Appeal weeks after advertising several vacancies.
In a statement, the JSC said that it had finalized the process of evaluation of the various candidates who had been interviewed.
“After lengthy deliberations, and careful consideration
of the performances of the various candidates and based on the constitutional imperative of merit, gender, regional balance, affirmative action, and public interest, the JSC has recommended the appointment of the underlined to the office of Judge of the Court of Appeal and has submitted their names to his excellency the president for appointment,” read a section of the statement.
The judges include Justice Kimaru Luka Kiprotich, Gachoka Pail Mwaniki, Lady justice Achode Lydia Awino and Justice Mativo John Muting.
Others include, Justice Ochieng’ Fredrick Andago, Justice Ngenye Grace Wangui, and Lady juSTICE Aroni Abida Ali.
