NAKURU, Kenya, Jul 18- Police officers in Nakuru have recovered military tactical gear in a house in the Pangani area, amidst heightened war against criminal gangs in the County.
The recovery was made during a security operation led by the County Commander, Peter Mwanzo.
The police headquarters said the recovery included 2 military cap peaks, 3 jungle shirts, one pair of jungle trouser, two jungle carrier bags, and one webbing straps. They also found 4 pouch straps.
“Additionally, the team recovered one ground sheet, four ground sheet carriers, side pouches among other items,” the National Police Headquarters said in a statement.
Nakuru has been on the spot over incidents of killings blamed on criminal gangs.
A police operation has since been launched in a bid to weed out members of several criminal gangs in the area.
