LAIKIPIA, Kenya, Aug, 11 – Former Agriculture Cabinet Secretary and The Service Party Leader Mwangi Kiunjuri secured victory and was announced the new Laikipia East Mp.
The incumbent Amin Deddy was seeking reelection and was vying on a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party ticket.
The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) announced Kinjurias the winner.
He secured 30,057 votes while Deddy garnered 28,021 votes.
“Thank you so much Laikipia for the opportunity to work with, and for you again. Your support, warmth and presence during the campaigns and most important, your vote is appreciated. Now we get to work,” said Kiunjuri.
